“I Lost 62 Pounds On Wegovy. I Was Getting Enough Protein. But My Hair Was Falling Out Left And Right.”

— Dana, 56 · Wegovy · 62 lbs down
Made for women on a GLP-1
Before the shot. Sixty-two pounds later. And month four, at the sink.

Hi, I’m Dana. I’m 56, fourteen months on Wegovy, 62 pounds down. Here’s what happened, in order:

  • Month three, my hair started coming out in the shower in handfuls.
  • Everyone said protein. I weigh my chicken. My labs came back “perfect.”
  • Nobody told me the one thing that actually changed: after menopause, my body fat was making most of my estrogen.
  • The shot took the fat. My estrogen went with it — and estrogen was the bouncer at my hair root, keeping DHT off.
  • No bouncer, DHT walks in. Every hair on top comes back thinner. The back stays thick.

Then a doctor drew it for me on a whiteboard and told me what to take. I want to show you exactly what he showed me.

Keep reading. It takes about four minutes. If you’re dealing with this, it’s going to change how you look at your part. Don’t buy anything yet. Read it first, so you understand exactly what’s going on up there.

“Literally no one knows except my doctor.”

I don’t think it’s shameful to have to take medication to lose weight. It’s mostly that I don’t like admitting how upset I was with my body when I was at my heaviest. So when the hair started, who was I going to tell? I feel like I have this huge embarrassing secret — and now a second one, in the drain every morning. I didn’t tell anyone I started HALO either. Two softgels with my coffee; nobody asks. By week ten the drain was mine again, and the only secret I keep now is how often I check my part in the mirror. Because I like it.

“People think I have cancer.”

I lost all of that at a very steady half a pound to a pound a week — no drastic weight loss for me. After about six months my hair was coming out in clumps in the shower. I’ve always been known for my thick, long hair. Now I have very few “long hairs” left. There is absolutely no way I can wear my hair down anymore. Hair clip and hats it is. People think I have cancer because of the drastic change in my appearance. HALO was the first thing that made sense of the shape: thick at the back, thin on top, so not a shortage. Sixteen weeks in I wore my hair down to my niece’s wedding. Nobody asked if I was sick. Two people asked who does my hair.

“I had to purchase a hair topper on Amazon.”

Thyroid, aging, and then the shot on top. I have had significant hair loss to the point where I had to purchase a hair topper on Amazon. It looks great, you can’t tell, thank goodness, but yeah, it is a fact of my life. With my heart history the dermatologist wouldn’t do minoxidil, so I needed something my pharmacist could actually check. She read HALO’s label in thirty seconds: two plant extracts, printed doses, no hormone. The topper is still in the drawer. It’s been there since week eleven, and some mornings I forget it exists.

“I’m terrified to stop and gain back weight.”

The shedding hasn’t stopped. It’s slowed down but it’s still more than before. My hair is already fine and now I just don’t have a lot. I was on Nutrafol and that didn’t seem to help. I seem to be one of the few that haven’t had their hair come back. I have another two months of shots and then I plan to stop — and I’m terrified to stop and gain back weight. I started HALO alongside those last two months and kept taking it after. I came off the drug in March. The weight stayed off. The hair on top stayed on. That’s the trade they told me I couldn’t have, and I have it.

“It’s been in my fridge for 6 months!”

I’ve had Wegovy sitting in my fridge for over 6 months because I’m so scared to take my first dose. I keep telling myself it’s not the right time. “I have a wedding in a few weeks.” “I have a hair appointment.” I have PCOS thinning already. I don’t mind a general hair shed due to weight loss, I just don’t want the loss to be permanent in the spots where I am thinning. Nobody could tell me which half was which. This page did. So I put somebody on the door first: HALO started the week before my first shot. Month five, the toddler hair ties never happened. The pen is out of the fridge and 31 pounds are gone.

“He can tell who started a GLP-1 by their hair.”

I got my hair cut yesterday and talked with my stylist about this. He said a lot of his clients have recently started GLP-1 and he can often tell based on their hair loss since the last appointment. That was the day I stopped believing it was my protein and ordered HALO. I never told him. Twelve weeks later he parted my hair at the crown, went quiet, and said: “WOW, that’s a lot of new hair!” He sees a hundred heads a month. He’s the only review that counts.

The hair loss really scares me because I have very little hair to begin with and I have a very social job — I teach at university — I cannot imagine going to class balder than I am. Two hundred students a week looking at the top of my head from below. HALO was the first bottle whose label I could actually read, so I took it: two softgels at breakfast, before the nine o’clock lecture. Week 0 and week 12, same window, are on my fridge. “Sheer panic after the three months mark.”

I lost 90 lbs over a year and a half and was in sheer panic after the three months mark from all the hair in my drain. Then noticing my part looked wider. Ninety pounds down, and the thing my husband noticed first was the pillowcase. I started HALO the week the part started widening, because the shed and the thinning are two different jobs. By week nine the pillowcase was clean. My husband noticed that too — and this time he said it out loud.

My first year on the shot

“I Did All The Things Right.”

What everyone sees, and what only she sees

What everyone sees · what only she sees

I have always had a ton of hair. So when it first started coming out, I didn’t think much of it.

Probably about three months in was when it started.

It felt like handfuls would come out with every wash and with each hair tie I would take out.

Even my hairdresser commented on it.

By month four the amount of hair loss was starting to scare me.

I’d run my hands through my hair and so much came out. If I brushed it, the brush was FULL of hair after the fact.

My husband noticed so much hair on the bed he could make a wig out of it.

My first reaction, honestly? Sucks, but I’d rather have thinning hair and not be fat, lol.

That lasted about a month.

A hairbrush packed with shed hairOne morning. One brush.

I saved a day of it and put it in a ziplock bag to take it to my doctor. I wanted to show them exactly how much hair I was losing.

It was my first physical since before Wegovy. My doctor called my blood panel “perfect” and explained she was shocked, because she rarely sees “perfect” blood panels.

My migraines have almost gone away. I have way more energy. I’m happier.

And I’m losing my hair left and right.

The dermatologist looked at the bag for about a minute: most likely from GLP-1 use and not taking in enough protein.

But I did all the things right. Very high protein, enough calories, vitamins, good shampoos, the works. A slow loss, about a pound a week.

By month five it was worse, not better.

I could no longer use my regular ponytail holders. I had to order toddler ones, no lie.

Toddler hair elastics next to adult onesThe toddler ones. No lie.

I tried everything from:

  • Collagen powder in my coffee
  • Biotin, 10,000 mcg
  • Nutrafol, $80 a month
  • Rosemary oil and the $60 shampoo
  • Protein tracked to the gram
  • A shorter cut “so it’ll maybe appear thicker”
  • Toddler hair ties
  • Googling extensions, clip-ins, toppers

And don’t get me wrong — some of those are fine. They just weren’t the thing.

I’ve tried all the supplements, all the shampoos.

Reading the back of another bottle in the aisleAisle 7, again.

In my younger days I could lose 10 pounds in a month, and I never lost hair.

I’m losing like it’s male pattern baldness. And I’m not a man.

The back is still thick. It’s the top. The part keeps getting wider.

Checking the part by the windowMonth eight. Same window.

And the new growth is no longer dense and thick. It is fine and sparse.

People think I have cancer because of the drastic change in my appearance.

I lost sixty-two pounds and got asked if I was sick.

Trade one insecurity for another.

I’m scared if I stop taking it, I’ll put the weight back on.

So that’s where I was by month nine.

This time it’s slower, my labs are perfect, and it sure is happening now.

I’m 56. I went through menopause years ago.

Nobody had put those two things next to each other for me.

Perfect blood work. Protein to the gram. A pound a week. Still losing it — and only on top. That isn’t a shortage. That’s the door. Here’s what nobody explained to me — until one doctor did.

What the doctor drew for me

It Was Never A Shortage. No Protein Shake On Earth Fixes This.

  1. 1After menopause, most of your estrogen comes from your body fat.
  2. 2The shot took the fat. So the estrogen went with it.
  3. 3Estrogen was keeping DHT away from the roots on top of your head. Now DHT gets in.
  4. 4The root shrinks a little every round. Each hair comes back thinner. Only on top.

I flew to the other side of the country to see him. He listened for two minutes, turned to a whiteboard and said: almost every hair supplement on the shelf is built for a woman who is short of something. You’re not. Here is what happened on top of your head, in three steps.(He checked my ferritin and thyroid first. If nobody has checked yours, have them checked. A shortage is the easy one, and it thins everywhere, not in a shape.)

A shortage thins everywhere. A hormone thins in a shape: thick at the back, a line on top.
Left: a shortage, thin everywhere. Right: a hormone, thick at the back, a line on top.

1A shortage thins everywhere. Mine only thinned on top.

He had me grab a handful of hair at the back of my head.

Still thick. Lots of it.

Then he had me run my fingers along my part, on top.

Thin. You could see skin.

“If your body were short of something, your hair would be thin everywhere. Back, sides, top. It wouldn’t pick one spot.”

Mine picked one spot. The top.

So it’s not food. Not protein. Not a vitamin. It’s a hormone. A shortage thins everywhere. A hormone thins in one place.

That’s why the biotin, the collagen and the 110 grams of chicken did nothing. They fix a shortage. I didn’t have one.

GLP-1 takes the fat off. The fat was making your estrogen. Less estrogen means DHT reaches the root.

2The shot took the fat. The fat was making my estrogen.

After menopause, your body fat is where most of your estrogen comes from.

I lost sixty-two pounds. My estrogen went with it.

Nobody mentioned that when they handed me the pen.

Two hormones matter here. Estrogen is the female hormone, and it is good for your hair. DHT is a male-type hormone every woman has a little of, and it is bad for the hair roots on top of your head.

Estrogen was the bouncer at the root. It kept DHT off.

Take the bouncer away and DHT walks in. The root shrinks a little every cycle. Each hair comes back thinner than the one before it.

This is the drawing. I photographed the board before I left.

“It’ll grow back,” everyone says. He said: half of it will.

Two things are happening at once.

One: the handfuls in the shower. That’s the shed. It starts around month three and it stops by itself. That part grows back.

Two: the hair on top coming back thinner. That’s the thinning. It runs on DHT. And DHT doesn’t go away when your weight settles.

So the shed fixes itself. The thinning doesn’t — not on its own.

I’d lost weight before and never lost hair. Same me, same diets. The one thing different this time was the estrogen I had left to lose.

HALO Hair with the raw ingredients: pumpkin seeds, cold-pressed oil, saw palmetto berries

3Two plants, two jobs. Most bottles do one, badly.

Then he said pumpkin seed oil, and I laughed.

He didn’t.

Pumpkin seed oil turns the tap down.

Less new DHT gets made. There is exactly one proper trial of it for hair: men, 400 mg a day, 24 weeks, about 40% more hairs counted at the end.

Men, and one trial. He said so, because the bottles won’t.

The one he recommended is 1,000 mg, cold-pressed. The number is printed on the label, not folded into a blend.

Saw palmetto stands at the door.

It makes it harder for the DHT already in my scalp to land on the root. It has to be a standardized extract with the number on it: 320 mg.

A lot of bottles use dried-berry powder and hide the amount inside a “blend.”

That bottle is HALO Hair. Two softgels a day.

This is its label. The whole thing.

Pumpkin seed oil turns the tap down. Saw palmetto stands at the door.

Everything I was told

Four Things I Was Told. All Four Are Half True.

Before the shot: the bouncer at the root keeps DHT off. On the shot: the door is empty and the root shrinks.
Left: before the shot, the fat feeds the bouncer. Right: on the shot, the door is empty.
“You have to pick. The weight or your hair.”

My own doctor: “It’s not from the shot, it’s what happens when people lose weight.”

No. The weight is one job. The hair is another job. Two different jobs.

The shot did the first one. Nobody told me the second one even existed.

I kept the weight. And I put somebody back at the root.

“Your labs are fine. Just eat more protein.”

Labs check your blood. My blood was fine. My problem wasn’t in my blood. It was at the root, on top of my head.

Here’s the easy test. If you’re short of something, your hair thins everywhere. Mine only thinned on top. The back was still thick.

That’s not a shortage. That’s a hormone.

“Take biotin. Try the rosemary oil.”

Biotin feeds hair that is hungry. My hair wasn’t hungry.

Rosemary oil works on the outside of the scalp. My problem was under the skin, at the root.

Both were aimed at the wrong place.

“It’s temporary. It’ll grow back once your weight settles.”

Everyone in my group said it: “It’s from the rapid weightloss and it’s temporary.”

Half of that is true. The handfuls in the shower stop by themselves. That’s the shed, and it ends.

The other half is the thinning on top. That runs on DHT, a hormone. DHT didn’t leave when my weight settled. So the thinning didn’t either.

Two different things. Everyone only talks about the first one.

If your doctor puts you on spironolactone or minoxidil, take it. HALO is not a replacement for a prescription. It’s for the woman whose whole answer was “labs are fine, eat more protein.” That was me.

My twelve weeks

What Each Ingredient Was Doing, And What I Checked.

A new hair needs about twelve weeks to grow long enough to see — from any bottle. Whether it grows in thick or thin is decided earlier, while the root is forming it. Here’s the order things happened in, and what I checked.

📅Day 1
📷The whole routineDay one photo

Two softgels with breakfast. A photo of my part by the window. Hair-tie turns written on the bottle.

That’s it.

📅Week 2
🛡Somebody’s back on the doorNothing to see — good

Saw palmetto extract, 320 mg, makes it harder for DHT to land on the root. Pumpkin seed oil, 1,000 mg, turns the tap down on the enzyme that makes new DHT.

Nothing to see. Nothing to feel. By design.

📅Week 4
🌱The root gets left aloneKeep going

The root that’s forming my next hair is no longer being shrunk while it works.

Every bottle before this one went in the drawer right here. I didn’t.

📅Week 8
🧿The check-inLess in the brush

The drain. The brush. The Roomba. Although I still see the hair loss in my hairbrush, my Roomba tells me another story.

Same ponytail, count the turns. It’s the one measurement that can’t flatter you.

📅Week 12
Week 0 next to week 12Short new hairs

Short hairs standing up along the part in a raking light. Same window, same light.

I sat in my hairdresser’s chair and didn’t say a word. “WOW, that’s a lot of new hair!”

Love what you see, or send it back — you’re still inside the 90 days.

📅Month 6
💜Two full cyclesKeep the weight

The part in daylight. The hair tie on fewer turns.

I kept the weight. And I kept somebody on the door.

“I cannot imagine going to class balder than I am.”

This semester I walked out from behind the lectern.

What I asked before I ordered

Questions I Had. Answers I Got.

Can I take it alongside my shot?

Nothing in it is a hormone: two plant extracts, three minerals and two vitamins, every milligram printed. I showed the label to the pharmacist who fills my Wegovy. Show it to yours — that’s exactly why every number is on the bottle. And if your doctor puts you on spironolactone or minoxidil, take it. This is not a replacement for a prescription.

Why does it take twelve weeks?

A new hair needs about twelve weeks to grow long enough to see — from any bottle. Whether it grows in thick or thin is decided earlier, while the root is forming it. That’s why the pack is three bottles and the money-back window is 90 days: you can take every softgel and still decide.

Won’t it just grow back on its own?

Half of it. The shed that starts around month three stops on its own. The thinning on top is a different thing: it runs on DHT, and DHT doesn’t leave when the weight settles. A shortage thins everywhere. A hormone thins in a shape.

Why not the $80 hair vitamins?

Twenty ingredients with the amounts folded into a “blend” — you can’t check the one number that matters. HALO is two plants at printed doses: 1,000 mg cold-pressed pumpkin seed oil and 320 mg standardized saw palmetto extract. No iodine. Biotin at 100 mcg, not 10,000, so your thyroid test reads true.

What if it doesn’t work for me?

Then send it back inside 90 days. The 3-pack is 84 days of softgels; the guarantee is longer than the pack on purpose. Put your week-0 photo next to week 12 and be honest with yourself. I was.

I didn’t mind a general hair shed from the weight loss. I just didn’t want the loss to be permanent in the spots where I was thinning. That’s the door. The shed stops by itself. The spots I was afraid of were the root with nobody on it — and that’s the one job this bottle is built for. On a prescription? Nothing in it is a hormone — two plant extracts, three minerals and two vitamins, every milligram on the label. Take the label to your pharmacist. I did.

Before you buy — quick answers
Is it vegan?

Yes, 100%

Any side effects?

Most people notice nothing. The two plant oils can occasionally upset a sensitive stomach — take the softgels with food. Nothing hormonal, nothing to "come off".

Can I take it with the pill?

Yes. A community pharmacist checked the formula for everyday use alongside the combined pill. On prescription medication, pregnant or breastfeeding? Ask your pharmacist first.

How long until I see anything?

Give it 12 weeks — that's how long a new hair takes to show. The first 8 weeks are usually quiet. Take a photo on day one, same light, and compare at week 12.

Is this a subscription?

That's your choice. Subscribe & Save is ticked by default: you pay less, it arrives every 60 days, the free gifts come with it, and you can skip or cancel in one click. Untick it and it's a straight one-time purchase — nothing renews, nothing to cancel.

My blood work came back "normal". Will this still do anything?

That's the most common story we hear. The amount of DHT in your blood is normal — your roots just react badly to it, and a blood test can't see that. The short version.

How does the 90-day guarantee work?

Finish a round. Don't love it? Email us within 90 days of your first order and we refund you. No forms, no photos, no quibble.

Delivery & returns

US shipping in 3–6 business days. Free on the 3- and 5-bottle packs. Unopened bottles back within 30 days.

Is it a DHT blocker?

We don't make that claim — no supplement can legally promise that. What we do: real saw palmetto extract at 320 mg, cold-pressed pumpkin seed oil at 1,000 mg, and zinc, selenium and biotin at full strength — the three that are allowed to mention hair.

The short version

Why your hair is thinning. The short version.

Illustration: DHT is a hormone everyone has; in some women the hair roots react badly to it; so new hair grows back thinner
1Every hair grows from a root.+It grows for a few years, rests, falls out, and a new one starts from the same root. The root decides how thick the new hair is.
2DHT makes sensitive roots shrink.+DHT is a hormone everyone makes, women too. DHT sticks to hair roots. Some roots have more spots it can stick to. Every time it sticks, that root stops growing a bit earlier than it should and comes back a bit smaller.
3A smaller root grows a thinner hair.+And lets go of it sooner. Your hair isn’t falling out more. It’s coming back thinner, every time. That’s the widening parting.
?Why some roots and not others?+It’s in your genes. The roots on top of your head are born with more spots that DHT can stick to than the roots at the back and sides. That’s why hair thins on top and along the parting, never at the back — and why it often runs in families.
?Why did the doctor say “normal”?+A blood test measures how much DHT you have, and that is normal. It can’t see how sensitive your roots are. So the test is fine, and your hair still thins.
So what needs to happen? You can't switch the hormone off. You look after the roots instead. They need three things. Next bit.

How it works

Three things your roots need. Most products give one.

Tap one to see what's in HALO Hair for it.

Illustration: when hair thins it gets hit from three sides; most products fight one; HALO Hair covers all three

Two plant oils get in the way, so less DHT sticks to the root: pumpkin seed oil, and saw palmetto (an extract from a berry). Most bottles use the whole dried berry as a powder — much weaker — and don't say how much. We use the real extract, at the amount used in studies, and we print it.

In HALO HairPumpkin seed oil 1,000 mg + saw palmetto extract 320 mg. Both printed on the bottle.

Roots work hard for years and pick up everyday damage — the same kind that ages skin. Vitamin E helps protect cells from it. Almost no hair product has it.

In HALO HairVitamin E 50 mg. It contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

Hair is built from protein. Zinc is the builder — without it, no new hair gets made. Biotin is the builder's helper — it turns the food you eat into the stuff hair is made of. Selenium keeps the builder safe while it works. Run short of any of the three, and hair is the first thing your body stops building. Only three nutrients have a recognized role in hair — and these are the three.

In HALO HairZinc 10 mg, selenium 55 µg, biotin 100 µg. They contribute to the maintenance of normal hair. Plus B6 and copper.
All three, in two small softgels a day. Every amount printed on the bottle.

What's inside · per 2 softgels

The bodyguard. Keeps the root safe while the new hair is being built.

BiotinFeed

The helper. Turns the food you eat into the stuff hair is made of. A little is all you need — not 10,000.

Vitamin B6Feed
1.4 mgfull daily amount

A little helper for hormones.

CopperFeed
1 mgfull daily amount

A little helper for hair colour.

Why these three? Hair is built from protein. Zinc builds it, biotin turns your food into it, selenium keeps the root safe while it's built. Official wording: zinc, selenium and biotin contribute to the maintenance of normal hair. Vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Pumpkin seed oil and saw palmetto are plant oils — we say what's in them, not what they do.
Not inside: iron, collagen, silly amounts of biotin.

Iron only helps if you're low — ask your doctor to check. Collagen is nice, but it doesn't do any of the three things above. Too much biotin just ends up in the loo.

Who's behind HALO

Two sisters. One parting.

Ellie and Beth, the sisters behind HALO Hair, at their headquarters
Why "HALO"? The ring of fine new hairs around the hairline. Ellie called it her halo long before we put it on a bottle.

Ellie and Beth are sisters. Both thirty-eight. Same mum, same dad. One of them started losing her hair at thirty-four. The other one didn't.

Ellie did what everyone does. Moved her parting. Biotin. A caffeine shampoo. Rosemary oil. Her doctor ran her blood work, said "normal", and said "some women just thin". She went home and accepted it.

Beth didn't. She'd spent eight years checking supplement labels for a living — the person who makes sure the number on the bottle is the number in the bottle. She looked at Ellie's drawer and said: "None of these were ever going to work. Half of them can't even legally mention hair."

So she made one. For Ellie. Then for Ellie's friends. Then for their friends. That's HALO Hair. Still the two of them — just a bigger kitchen table.

Good questions

Things people ask before they buy.

How long before I see anything?

Give it twelve weeks — that's how long a new hair takes to grow long enough to see. The first eight weeks are usually quiet. Take a photo on day one by a window, same spot, same light. Compare at week 12.

What does it cost?

With Subscribe & Save, which is ticked by default: $24.99 for one bottle, $49.99 for three ($16.66 a bottle), $74.99 for five ($15.00 a bottle). Skip or cancel in one click, any time. Prefer to buy once? Untick it: $29.99, $59.99 and $89.99. The free gifts come with the subscription.

Can I take it with the pill?

Yes. We had the formula checked by a community pharmacist for everyday use alongside the combined pill. On other medication? Show your pharmacist the back label. It takes them thirty seconds.

Is this a DHT blocker?

We don't make that claim — no supplement can legally promise that. What we do say: the saw palmetto is a real extract at 320 mg, the pumpkin seed oil is 1,000 mg (pressed without heat), and every dose is printed. The nutrients that are allowed to mention hair — zinc, selenium, biotin — are in at full strength.

My blood work came back "normal". Will this still do anything?

"Normal" blood work is the most common story we hear. A blood test measures how much DHT you have, and that's usually normal. It can't see how sensitive your roots are, and that's what thins hair. One thing first: ask your doctor for your ferritin number. "In range" can still be low for hair.

What if it's iron, thyroid, stress or postpartum?

Then sort that first — honestly. Ask for ferritin, thyroid and vitamin D. HALO Hair has no iron on purpose: it only helps if you're short of it and can clash with other things. We're for the three routes on this page, not a replacement for a blood test.

I have PCOS. Is it for me?

Many of our customers do. With PCOS, the hair roots often react badly to hormones like DHT — that's the first of the three things on this page. If you take spironolactone or other prescription medication, check with your pharmacist first.

Will it mess with my hormones or give me facial hair?

No. Saw palmetto and pumpkin seed oil are foods, not hormones, and at these doses they're widely used by women. They are not minoxidil — the facial-hair stories you've read are about minoxidil.

If I stop, will my hair fall out again?

That fear comes from minoxidil, which only works while you use it. HALO Hair is a dietary supplement: it feeds the routes while you take it, and nothing "rebounds" when you stop. Most people who like it simply carry on.

Can I use it with Rogaine / minoxidil?

Yes — they do different jobs. Minoxidil works on the surface; HALO Hair works from the inside. Plenty of customers use both.

Why a softgel and not a gummy?

Because the two oils need to be oils. You can't put 1,000 mg of pumpkin seed oil in a gummy — which is why most gummies are just biotin and sugar.

How should I read the before-and-after photos?

As individual results, not as a promise. That is why the small print under them says so. The only before-and-after that decides this for you is your own: week 0 and week 12, same window, same light. Take the first one today.

Any side effects?

Most people notice nothing. Pumpkin seed oil and saw palmetto can occasionally upset a sensitive stomach — take the softgels with food. Stop and speak to a pharmacist if anything feels off.

Pregnant or breastfeeding?

Please don't take it without checking with your doctor or midwife first. Saw palmetto is not recommended in pregnancy.

Vegetarian? Vegan? Gluten-free?

Gluten-free, no artificial colors and vegan.

Can men take it?

Yes. The formula is the same; the doses are sensible for everyone. We just built the page for the women who asked first.

Where is it made?

In a GMP-certified facility, third-party tested, and labeled for the US. Most pumpkin seed oil capsules you find online are built for men's prostates — this one is built for women's hair.

How does the 90-day guarantee work?

Finish the 12 weeks. If you don't love it, email us within 90 days of your first order and we refund you. No forms, no photos, no quibble.

How many should I take, and when?

Two softgels a day, with food. Most people take both with breakfast because that is the meal you never forget. Splitting them, one morning one evening, is also fine. There is no loading phase and no cycling.

Is it addictive? Do I have to take it forever?

No, and no. There is nothing habit-forming in it and nothing that "rebounds" when you stop. That fear comes from minoxidil, which only works while you use it. This is a dietary supplement: it works on the routes while you take it, and if you stop, you simply go back to where your own biology was.

Will it affect my libido?

No. That worry comes from finasteride, a prescription drug that works on the same hormone in a completely different way and at a completely different strength. Saw palmetto and pumpkin seed oil are foods, and at these doses they are used daily by a very large number of women.

Will hair start growing on other parts of my body?

No. The stories you have read about that are about minoxidil, which is applied to the skin and can travel. This is a softgel with two plant oils in it. If anything, the coarse chin hair is the thing most women want less of, and it is driven by the same hormone this is aimed at.

Is it natural? Non-GMO?

The two actives are plant oils: cold-pressed pumpkin seed oil and a standardized saw palmetto extract. Non-GMO, no artificial colours, no fillers hidden in a blend. The capsule shell is gelatin, which is why it is not vegetarian yet.

Is it safe for everyone?

No supplement is, and anyone who says otherwise is selling. Do not take it if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you are on prescription medication, being treated for a hormone-sensitive condition, or under 18, show your pharmacist the back label first. It takes them thirty seconds and every amount is printed on it.
