What do they actually do?

They cut the glare from oncoming headlights.

No more squinting at a bright blur.

Here's why it happens. Today's LED headlights are brighter, and they're also bluer.

Blue light scatters inside your eye. That causes the haze, and the second where you can't see after a car goes by.

Amber lenses filter out that harsh blue light.

So you get:

  • Headlights that don't blind you
  • Eyes that recover faster
  • Less tiring drives after dark

They won't darken the road like sunglasses do.

And they're not a cheap yellow tint that just changes the color of the glare.

How do they work?

Amber Filters (Not a tint)
Amber sits opposite blue on the color wheel, allowing these filters to effectively cut the harsh blue light emitted by modern LED headlights.

GlareCut Technology™
Turns blinding white headlights into a soft, warm orange. Because our eyes handle orange light more comfortably than stark white, glare is significantly reduced and the blinding effect is softened.

Will they fit over my glasses?

Yes, that's what they're built for. They fit over most prescription frames, and work on their own or with contacts.

Our guarantee

Drive in them for 30 days, on your real roads. If they do not help, email us and we refund the whole thing. Not 30 percent of it, not store credit, and we do not ask for them back.

I was ready to send these back. First week was dry and clear and I could barely tell. Then it rained. Dual carriageway, roadworks, standing water throwing every headlight back up at me. That drive usually smears into one bright mess and I end up guessing where the lane is. With these on it just looked like rain. Barely noticeable on a clear night, genuinely different in the wet. Where I live, that is the only night that matters.

Bought these for my mother, who is 71 and had started asking me to collect her from things. Tried them on to check they were not junk and ended up keeping the second pair. I am 41, no eye problems, and I had decided the headache on the drive home was just part of driving now. It is not. The difference for me is the few seconds after a car passes, when I used to be looking at nothing. Mom's verdict: 'I can look at the road instead of the lights.

I gave up night driving two winters ago and told everyone it was a choice. It was not. I stopped booking anything that ended after six, and then I stopped being asked. First proper test was the ring road at seven, in traffic, the exact drive I would have talked myself out of. I did not once slow down for an oncoming car. Not magic, bright lights are still bright. But I drove somewhere alone after dark for the first time in two years.

You Never Decided to Stop Driving at Night

It happened in pieces. First the highway after dark, then the unfamiliar route, then the thing at seven that you said you were too tired for. Nobody sat you down and told you your driving days were shrinking, and when you mentioned it somebody said it was your age. It is not your age. Headlights changed, your eyes did not, and this is the part of that you can actually do something about tonight.

We're Not Going to Tell You It's a Miracle

The ads that promise headlights disappear are lying. Good amber takes the edge off the worst of it, which sounds modest until you have driven forty minutes without once being wiped out by an oncoming car. Most of these fail because they are a color and nothing more: yellow plastic turns a white glare into a yellow glare, and the whole category gets tarred with it. Better, not perfect, and you will know inside one drive.

FAQ

My optometrist says these do not work. Why should I believe you?

Because he is half right and you should know which half. Any lens filters some light, so on a completely dark road with no traffic you are better off without them, and we say so in the instructions. What he is not measuring is glare discomfort on a road full of oncoming LEDs, which is the only thing most people are buying these for. Try them for 90 days and trust your own drive over both of us.

Will I miss a pedestrian in dark clothes?

This is the right question to ask and the reason we tell you to take them off on unlit roads. The lens works on the harsh end of the light rather than dimming the scene, so signs, curbs and people stay visible where there is any light at all.

Will they fit over my prescription glasses?

Yes. That is what they are built for, so there is nothing to swap and no second prescription to pay for. They work on their own or over contacts too.

Are these just yellow tinted glasses like the cheap ones?

No, and the cheap ones are the reason this question exists. A plain yellow lens colors the glare without reducing it, which is why so many people say theirs just made everything yellow.

What if they do not help me?

Email us inside 30 days and we refund the full amount. We would rather you test them properly and send them back than never find out. The case is yours either way.
